Benvinguda

Hem creat aquest bloc com un lloc d'intercanvi i de comunicació entre tots els veïns de la casa; un fòrum on poder expressar necessitats, iniciatives, dubtes, o qualsevol altra cosa relacionada amb la finca. De vegades, voleu plantejar alguna qüestió i no trobeu cap dels membres de la Junta; altres vegades voleu demanar el canvi d'una bombeta fosa o la reparació d'un ascensor... o simplement voleu estar al corrent de les coses que anem fent o que necessitem. Doncs aquest pot ser un bon lloc per fer-ho, de manera que tothom en pugui estar al cas. Animeu-vos a participar. Les entrades al bloc les fa qui l'ha creat i qui hi tingui accés, és clar.

Les trobareu en català, en castellà o en totes dues llengües, segons el dia o el temps que tingui l'autor per dedicar-s'hi. Pel que fa a les vostres intervencions, tots esteu convidats a afegir comentaris. Proposem el següent:

1. si us plau, que siguin sempre respectuosos i adients
2. que els signeu per saber qui fa la proposta o la petició (hi ha prou amb el nom i el pis)
3. si no hi ha cap entrada amb el tema que us interessa per afegir el vostre comentari, podeu fer-ho en l'entrada PARTICIPACIÓ. Diguem que serà el "calaix de sastre".

Bienvenida

Hemos creado este blog como un lugar de intercambio y de comunicación entre todos los vecinos de la casa; un foro donde poder expresar necesidades, iniciativas, dudas, o cualquier otra cosa relacionada con la finca. A veces, queréis plantear alguna cuestión y no localizáis a ninguno de los miembros de la Junta; otras veces queréis pedir el cabio de una bombilla fundida o la reparación de un ascensor... o simplemente queréis estar al corriente de las cosas que vamos haciendo o que necesitamos. Pues este puede ser un buen sitio para hacerlo, de manera que todos podamos estar al tanto. Animaos a participar.

Las entradas en el blog las hace quien lo ha creado y quien tenga acceso, claro. Las encontraréis en catalán, en castellano o en ambas lenguas, según el día o el tiempo que tenga el autor para dedicarse. En cuanto a vuestras intervenciones, todos estáis invitados a añadir comentarios. Proponemos lo siguiente:

1. por favor, que sean siempre respetuosos y adecuados
2. que los firméis para saber quién hace la propuesta o la petición (es suficiente con el nombre y el piso)
3. si no hay ninguna entrada con el tema que os interesa para añadir vuestro comentario, podéis hacerlo en la entrada PARTICIPACIÓN. Digamos que será el "cajón de sastre".

What to do in the event of a fire?

I hope that we may never have to use them, but it may be useful for you to take into account these pieces of advice in the event of fire. Right here you can download an informative leaflet (in Spanish) published by the Barcelona Firefighters. Their web site also offers some videos especially addressed to children (not in English).

Regarding the measures of protection of our building, remember that:

- Fire extinguishers: in the staircase, you will find fire extinguishers. They can only be used to put down small fires, directing the jet of dust right onto the basis of the flames. Fire extinguishers last very little. Therefore, if you cannot  put down the flames, do not insist. Leave the area and act as appropriate (abandon the building if you can go out, close yourself at home if you cannot  go out...).

- Fireproof doors: in each landing, there is a fireproof door that the "splits" the building into segments and separates the staircase from the landings of our flats. These doors are designed to resist the action of fire during a certain time lapse; so there can be fire on one side of the door and the other side may remain safe for a time. This is why it is very important that these doors remain always well closed. If the fire prevents you from abandoning the building, do not open the fireproof doors: they will keep fire and smoke under control  during a period of time and the absence of draughts (oxygen) will not nourish the flames.

-Smoke detectors: In the car park, there are detectors that operate an acoustic alarm if they detect an accumulation of smoke (or even exhaust gases). If they sound, it is advised to check out for a false alarm.

-Emergency lights:  They are all along the building, indicating the way out.

- If we have to abandon the building:
  • If possible, go down the staircase towards the main entrance.
  • Leave the doors and windows closed not to propagate the fire or the smoke.
  • Don't ever use the elevator. (In case of fire, it works like a chimney allowing smoke and flames going through it).
